This is a tag from my Nici Friend:)
Here are 6 things about me a little Quirky!!!!
1-I have been told from friends my whole life that I get involved with too much. It is true. I like to have my fingers in everything. Like right now, I am playing mom (which includes cleaning, laundry, budget, shopping etc), still fixing up the house, teaching dance and yoga classes, in scouts, in Primary, helping a lot with Prop 8, running, I do a play group with my friends, visiting teaching, instead of drive I usually bike Asher to school during the week, etc. etc. the list goes on and on. I think I am more effective when I am really busy. When I don't have as much to do, I get really lazy
2-I absolutely love to network on line. I love to blog and I love facebook. Some days I have to pull myself away from the computer because people in my family need to eat;)
3-I don't like red meet or fish. The meet thing is because when I was in high school, my dad killed a dear and hung it in the garage and I had no idea about it. Late one night I went in the garage and ran right into it. Yeah. Then it was in my freezer. . gross. So I can't do it now. The fish is another story my mom can tell you if she wants:) love you mom
4-I have lived in 12 house in Layton UT. My parents moved every two years when I grew up and to tell you the truth, I am not a one-upper, but I love to use that one as a one-upper:)
5-My dream jobs include: 1-I have always wanted to be juggler
2- I want to be the guys on the runways for the airplanes who get to use those glow in the dark wands to direct the airplane
3- I want to drive one of those big machines on the ice rink to re-ice the place. I forgot what it is called
4-At the Dodgers game I saw men dragging huge rake things evening out the dirt on the field. I would love to do that
6-My favorite holiday is Halloween!!! Do any of you know why??? I love to dress up:) And to be honest, if I could dress up every day of the year and get away with it, I would.

Brad Pitt
What a punk. As if he wasn't slimy enough he just donated $100,000 to the fund against Prop 8 here in CA. He said, ". . everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another, and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Prop 8" What ever. It isn't about discrimination. No one is saying they can't be gay. It is about 4 dumb judges who over turned 61% of Californians who already voted against gay marriage and are trying now to change the Constitution in California. It is also about children. There is a natural ability that a man and a woman have to make children. Did you guys know that there is a lady here in CA who just won her case to sue two doctors who wouldn't artificially inseminate her (she has a gay partner) Can you believe that???? In Massachusetts there are people and Churches right now being sued for not marrying gay people on their grounds. There is an adoption agency who had to close their doors because they didn't want to adopt to gay couples and they were told to either close or be sued. This is the biggest attack on the family that I have seen yet. President Monson said that we have to win this one (prop 8) We have been so hard at work trying to get people out and ready to vote. The adversary has been so hard at work too. It has been so interesting to watch Satan at work on this one. November 4th won't come soon enough.(that is the voting day) I hope Pitt burns. Can I say that? Ok now I am cooled off. Sorry but this has been such an issue here and it has even split members. We have some people in our ward that are against Prop 8. To me it is simple. If the Prophet says do something, I do it. He told us to get involved in this one and give everything we can to the cause. What would you do?? Maybe you will have the chance one day.

Back Biting Girls
Can I get an Amen for all of you out there who don't like girls who back bite???!!! I have been teaching pilates and dance here at the YMCA and there is this girl who was in my ward back in Newbury Park. Well, aparently she thought that when I moved that I would quit teaching at the Newbury Park YMCA and she wanted my classes. So she went and got herself all certified and started teaching kick boxing at the gym. Well, I moved and I didn't quit teaching ( I had no plans on quiting) So she started telling everyone that I was quiting and asking to teach my class because I was "leaving". Oh, it gets better. She would come to my class and get right next to me during the class and do the excersizes 10 times harder than what I was teaching to look better or something. I even had a lady get really mad at her and quit taking classes that she was in. So anyways, the lady who does the corrdinating for the classes called me and we talked and she told me what had been going on with my "friend" and I was shocked. I let my supervisor know that I was not leaving and had no intentions of leaving. I guess this weird chick was doing the same thing in other classes (getting in front and showing off) but she ended up getting fired. So here is the best part. She called me the other day to be her reference as she is applying to other gyms. Can you believe the nerve. She is acting like nothing happened. I said I would be her reference because I have no spine when it comes to confrentation but I am not a good one for her now am I:)

Happy birthday to my baby. . . .
Graham!!!! I have a 2 year old again :) Today my baby turned 2 and I seriously can't believe it. We went to the L.A. zoo yesterday for his b-day. We had a lot of fun except that it was really hot:) Graham is obsessed with garbage trucks. He has a couple of them and he wanted another one so we got him another one and I made him a garbage truck cake:) I have pics. When I get them I will find a way to post them.
Here are a few things about Graham:
Graham is so much fun. My favorite thing about him is that he is sooooo snugly. He gives me kisses all the time and he loves to lay and snuggle me. It is so nice. He loves Asher. What ever Asher says or wants, Grahammy does too:) Asher loves Graham too. They are the cutest little play buddies. Just today they were running around and body slamming each other and laughing (until Graham hit his head and got a huge goose egg:( ) Graham loves his little play group. He goes 3 times a week and does really well now without me. He is really smart. Asher is learning to read and Graham copies Asher and knows all his letters now. I think it really helps to have an older sibling to help teach you about life.
I can't believe that it has been 2 years since I was in the hospital and Graham came to me. From the moment he was born he just held on to my hand and was my little snugger. I love him so much. He makes me smile and I am excited every morning to wake up to him. Kids are awesome. I am so grateful to be able to dedicate my life to my little family. They are making me better every day and I know that this is why Heavenly Father commanded us to multiply and replenish the earth=to have joy:) So today take your kids and give them an extra hug and remember how they were the very first time you saw them. That love could never be replaced with anything else:)

And the human wins!!!!!!!
Remember those dumb ants???? Well I won! I got this huge shovel and I dug into our yard where their colony was. I probably looked funny with this huge shovel just going crazy digging with an evil look on my face. Then I got some liquid ant killer and just poured it into their hole. I think I poured half the bottle in there. I felt so empowered with my liquid ant killer. Then the test of time. . . . . It has been around 2 weeks since I did that and I haven't seen any ants in my house. :)))))) Yiipppyyyyyyyyyy. So if any of you ever have ant problems do what I did. It felt great to get revenge and now I have no more problems:)

And the blessings are pouring in!!!
Guess what????? The other pre-k called me and Asher is going to start on Wed. It is the one that he will be combined with older kids with disabilities and they all play and learn together. I talked to the teacher and she is sooooo much better than the frowny face one. I am way excited. We have been working out of a work book the two of us but it will be better for him to be in an environment with a teacher and other students. Yeah!!!! It was crazy timing. I was beginning to think that I was just going to be his pre-k teacher but look how things just work out. Thanks for all your kind words.

Happy one year to us!!!!!
Believe it or not (because I don't) a year ago we pulled into Scotty's parents drive way to live with them straight from Utah. I can't believe it's been a year already that we've been here. Here is a little flash back. . . . .
We lived in Utah and Scottie lost his job. We decided that it was time to make our "big" move to California. Scottie interviewed with a bunch of companies out here and got a job that we thought would make it worth our while to move out here. The day we found out that he got the job they told us that they wanted Scottie out in CA in two weeks to start work. WOW! The biggest problem was that we hadn't sold our house. So with all the faith in the world we packed up our house and made arrangements to move. Two days before we had to leave a couple came threw our house and made an offer on it. So the day before we left we signed all the docs to solidify the offer. I don't know how to explain how we felt when that happened. We had been trying to sell our house for 9 months without any offers. Then all of a sudden this couple came out of no where and bought our hosue that fast. All I can say is that we were so blessed and we were being taken care of. It also solidified in our minds that moving to CA was what Heavenly Father had in store for us at that point in time.
We lived with Scotty's parents for 9 1/2 months while we saved money, looked for a house, bought our house and spent 2 months gutting it. Now we live in it and we are still fixing it up.
Here are a few highlights from this last year:
Asher's birthday!!! He turned 4
We've enjoyed being by the beach. We've gone camping on the beach and tried to go as much as possible. Scottie seems more happy here too because he can surf whenever he wants to:)
We got to spend lots of time with Grace before she went on her mission. We miss her:)
This is our crazy kitchen before we bought it and fixed it up! I can't find a good after pic. oh well
We all went to Disneyland for the 4th of July!!
This entry was a good one. If you want a good laugh check it out here
We are enjoying our time here and the time we have to get to know Scotty's parents more;) It has been a year full of blessings and we have a lot to show for it. We miss all our friends back in Utah so don't ever forget us:) We will be out there next for Christmas so hopefully we can hook up with some of you.
peace out

First of all I have to say thanks to all of you who left me your comments about Pre-K. It helped to see that I wasn't the only one thinking that the teacher was crazy.
I ended up going to the school and asking if I could switch teachers. They had no openings. I got my money back and left. So now Asher is Pre-Kless and I am in search of another school. I am hoping that something comes up this week because everyone is either already started or they are starting next week. I feel like a dumb first time mom. I should have done my homework last summer to learn all this. Oh well, now I know it for Graham.
On another note, does anyone have the recipe to start the Amish Friendship bread??? I am so craving the stuff and I thought it would be fun to give it to the ladies I visit teach.
p.s. I hate ants
