Shrine Free!!!!

Do you all remember this???

Well this is what it looks like now!!!!

The Elders have been coming over every Friday for the last 5 months breaking our shrine. I think that the old man that built it is turning over in his grave. OOps. But now it looks so good.

This is what our front yard has been looking like. Our neighbors have been talking about us. We had a few people tell us what every one was saying. In short, they hate us for our mess. I had to laugh to tell you the truth. They'll be happy when our house is done and looks great! I am proud to say that all the rocks in the front yard are gone and now it is just dirt that looks clean and ready for a sprinkler system. Wow. This house has been way too much work. Dumb CA market. How else were we going to buy a house out here? Coming from the UT market to here has been really crazy for us. But we did it!!!!

Here is a funny pic of my munchkins. .

I know you all wanted to see that!! Now you can sleep at night. . right?!

If you have a minute I would watch this video by the church. It is a sign of our times and the very reason why we don't have TV:)

I am so lame

Sorry about the absence. I have to be honest, I have been so busy since Christmas that keeping up with the blog seems like more work instead of fun. As the next month goes on I think things will slow down and I will be able to come back from the dead. Until then just know that I love you all and that I am alive just very busy.

Also, I know that I am lame but I am turning 31 the 28th and had to do a cute little birthday background:)))

I hope you all are happy.

Peace out

This Post is dedicated to Billie Wixom!!!

So my friend Billie and I met at Ricks College years ago. She has become my new super star! She is amazing at using coupons and is teaching me. This is my first shopping trip that is post worthy. Thanks Billie:)

I went to Walgreens today and here is what I came home with:

Pictured her is:
10 boxes of flavored oatmeal (mostly brown sugar our fav.)
4 cans of Progresso soup
1 Garnier Fructis conditioner
2 Ben and Jerry's ice cream:)

I only spent $14.91 and saved $54.76!!! I have to admit I walked away thinking that I was really smart and just beat the system:) It was great! I love coupons!

Christmas and New Years!

Sorry for my tardiness. Better late than never:)

We have been way busy that I totally spaced sending out Christmas cards. Oops. But thanks to all of you that sent us one. I vow to do better next time:)

We went to my parents house in Utah for Christmas and it was crazy. The first day we got there the boys were way too excited to play in the snow so we took them sledding. They had a blast. It was funny when they said, "It is cold here" because it really was supper cold;) Here is a video of them going head first! ps. I hate youtube but blogger won't upload my videos. Anyone know of another site that will do the videos?

Then believe it or not. The very next day in Utah Scotty and I got sick with the fever and throw-ups and the squirts. Yup. What a way to spend our vacation. The great thing was that it only lasted a day. Then we were better. But guess what happened. . . Yup, Asher got it. We spent a whole entire day with him doing the same sick things that we did. Then he finally got better:)) Yeah we were ready to play. Then guess what else happened? Yup, Graham got it:( So we spent another day sick. Then finally the day before we were leaving, we were all better. We took advantage of our health and went to Temple Square to see the lights. The next day we packed up and went home.

The best part of the whole trip was on one of those day when I was healthy I was able to go to the temple with my dad and mom and brother Adam and his wife. There we sealed my dads parents to each other. It was amazing. Then we sealed my dad to his parents. Yet again very amazing. The other great thing about the trip was that we got to play with Grandma Oreo and Papa Joe. I love my parents;) They are great.

On the way home we stopped in Vegas and visited my high school friend Kamie when her twins were blessed. I love friends. Her babies are way cute!

Now I know you are thinking, " They didn't have much fun for Christmas so they must have done something great for New Years." We did. We all went to bed early and got lots of sleep;) Does anyone want to teach us how to have fun? We forgot.

But we have been working on something exciting for me:) This is what my back splash has looked like since we moved in.

Scotty put up my bead board:))) I am so excited. It looks great! All we have to do is paint it and put the borders around the top and I will have a real back splash. I will post pics when I paint it.

The other thing we finally did was fill in the holes by my sink. Scott did a great job. I only have to paint the borders than it will be done. Yeah. I will post after pics as well for this one.

The other thing we did was put door handles on my cupboards above the microwave. These cupboards look different from my others so I put an Uppercase Living sticker on them from my friend Tara (thanks Tara) to make it stand out on its own. It looks great. Then we hung my fruit holder thing and now it is totally transformed. What do you think???

That's all the new for us:) Hope you enjoyed!
