Friends and Family - YES ON PROP 8

This is the last week we really have to support Proposition 8. If you don't know what Prop 8 is go to www.protectmarriage.com and learn as much as you can. I need all of you who read my blog or facebook to stand with me. We need to show the world who we are and what we believe in. President Monson has asked us to support Prop 8 with all our means and energy and that means you too even if you don't live in CA. I have been hard at work making my blog www.voteyesonprop8.blogspot.com and I have great info on it. Please stand with me. You can do this by sending people you know all over the US my blog link or the link to ProtectMarriage so people learn the truth about Prop 8. It has to pass. You can also copy and paste articles from ProtectMarriage website and send them to people. Or you can just put a logo on your blog or facebook saying you support Prop 8. Other states follow the example of CA. If Prop 8 fails in CA, than other states will follow. We can't have this. Please let your voice be heard in support of Prop 8. If you need ideas of how you can help you can go to www.preservingmarriage.org or leave me a comment and I can help you.

If you do any research on the issue of same-sex parenting, you'll find that many scientists have investigated it, and none of them have found differences.

Anderssen et al. did a meta-analysis of 23 studies, and concluded that children of same-sex couples "did not systematically differ from other children on any of the outcomes," including "emotional functioning, sexual preference, stigmatization, gender role behavior, behavioral adjustment, gender identity, and cognitive functioning."

What you will find evidence of is that two parents are better than one, and that marriage is good for children. The logical conclusion is: if you want to help children, let their parents get married.

Prop 8 will hurt children of same-sex couples by taking away their parents' legal rights.

teej, civil unions have the same protections as marriages in california. the research you are referring to is inherently flawed because it compares single lesbian mothers to single mothers. France spent a year reviewing the research and found that they could not support same-gender marriage because of the children.

If you go to these links you will see what they found:
