Catching Up

I have a lot to catch-up on. First of all we are sooooo excited about our house. We will have a lot of fixing to do but I wanted to show you a picture of my favorite part.



This is a huge rock/cement shrine in the back that we have to tear down. Yeah, it will be a big job. I thought it was sooo cool that I sent an e-mail to HGTV asking them to help us do it on Carter Can. That would be cool



For Easter I copied my cousin and had the Easter bunny leave foot prints for the boys. They followed them to find their baskets. It was cute.

For Easter we had a bar-b-que and it was a beautiful day. I love the weather here in California. We all hung around outside.

The other day I almost got arrested at the DMV. For some reason our car was reported stolen in Utah and I went to the DMV to register it in California and they called the cops and it was crazy. Anyways, I was able to clear it up and after 2 1/2 hours they let me go home. It was horrible. I don't feel like writing all the details, but now that I look back at it it was funny. Seriously. Why would I take a car that I had stolen and try to register it? Whatever.

I will keep you updated with dates for closing on our house.

Here is the House!!!!

Here is the house. It is final now. We just signed the papers for the offer. Of coarse we are going to do an inspection and all but it looks like a go. Yeah for us. It has 4 bedrooms and two baths. I also has an indoor laundry room ( all the others are in the garage) So I really am excited about this. When the lady moves out I will take before and after shots. We have to put new floors in and paint the walls and we have to re-due the kitchen. So we have work ahead of us but I am sooo excited. The yard also needs work but that isn't top priority for us right now. All I have to say is I'M SO EXCITED!!!

WE FOUND A HOUSE!!!!!!! Yes folks. Finally we have found a house that we made an offer on and we got a counter that we liked and we are going to accept the counter. We are going to see the house tomorrow so I will take pics and give you the 411 then. I am just soooooo excited :) K-bye

My new running buddy

Hello everyone. I would like you to meet my new running buddy Natalie. We met through a mutual friend. She is awesome! She is the first runner I have met here that is fast and runs a lot of miles. Needless to say I have really been a slacker about running but not now. She even got me to do a 10 mile run last week and this week we are planning a 12 mile run. I am so excited to get back into the running world. She even introduced me to a cool running club here. We do speed work every Wed. at Westlake High School. Not only has she done all this for me, but she showed me a web site that you can map your routes and it tells you how long your run was. You just google gmap pedometer and then click on the first link that comes up and there you go. Who needs one of those expensive watches now :) Can you tell that I am stoked about my Natalie friend? Well I am.

Some of the casualties

Three days ago marked the six month mark that the Nicosia-LaBass famliy has been living with the Fairbanks-LaBass family. I was joking with Bob saying that I should take pictures of all the things that the boys have broken and post them on my blog. Bob said that my camera wouldn't have enough memory :) He is probably right. So I just took a few shots of the ones that I could remember. Let me ask you, after seeing these pics, would you let us live with you?????? :)


We call this the sugar mess. Asher had fun cleaning it up too.

Do you see the red candle holder on the right? Well, there used to be two.


There were two red glass decorations on these shelves. Not anymore.


Behind this fountain is a box that Bob has that plays bird noises in the back yard. It is very relaxing. Some how the boys got back there and broke it. Now that takes talent.


This was a new leather chair until Asher took a can opener and scratched that back of it. Yup. . This was a bad one.


We found this humming bird feeder on the kitchen floor with the bottom part broken off. Bob had to glue it back on to work. I have a feeling Graham got to that one.


Do you see the ground cover to the right now being used as concrete cover. Now can you find the bare part in the dirt. Yeah. . they were looking for bugs :)


I honestly don't know how this pot broke. Asher could have run over it with his 4-wheeler???? I don't know but it was broken in the last six months.



Even though my boys are crazy and we have had our challenges, there are plenty of smiles to go around. Thank you Nena and Bob for letting us stay with you and hopefully we will have a house soon :)

Just a random Saturday and Sunday for me and mine!

We tried to take a family pic but the boys were so not having it. We ended up just laughing so hard that we couldn't get one. Oh well, this is what you get. It was really funny because Graham wanted to play with his trucks and for some reason we all just busted up laughing, you know, like when you try to have family prayer and everyone is laughing too hard to pray. Yeah, like that

I was cleaning and I all I heard was Asher and Graham laughing hysterically and screaming like crazy. I found the two of them in Grahams crib just body slamming each other. Graham is young, but her sure is tough.

Congrats Grace!!!!

For all of you who know Grace I have news!!!!! She got her mission call to Independence Missouri !!!!! We are sooo excited. She is so ready and will be great. She goes into the MTC on April 23. Seriously, Missouri would be the coolest mission to learn all the church history and for other obvious reasons. So CONTRATS GRACE!!!



Asher and Scotty went on a mountain bike ride. They had sooo much fun. This pic is at the top of a bunch of switch backs and Asher only fell once. Thats my stud. He is so cute.
